PROTEST RULES 2009 1) Contestant Protest Forms and envelopes will be supplied by the DOUBLE R MUD TRACK, LLC at the Tech Station. Contestant Protest must be filed in writing to a DOUBLE R MUD TRACK Official with protest fees paid in CASH at the Tech Station Before the protesting party has been double eliminated. 2) Each driver/racer is responsible for knowing what specific equipment is on their race vehicle. 3) All protests must be filed by the driver and must have a vehicle participating in the class at the event. 4) Contestant Protest may be filed prior to start of class eliminations at the specific event. Contestant protests will not be accepted once a protesting party has been double eliminated at the specific event. 5) Once class eliminations start - only a loser, in either the 1st or 2nd elimination rounds, may protest any winner. 6) During a contestant protest, it is vehicle owner’s responsibility to tear down any portion of that vehicle under protest or to have the weight checked. This will be done under tech official’s supervision. Refusing a Tear Down or refusing to have the weight checked will result in a forfeit of all winnings, trophy and be required to be within specs before the next race.
(a) All vehicle owners will be responsible for their behavior as well as anyone representing that vehicle during the protest procedure. (b) Any interference from other race team members during or after inspections can result in disqualification of their team.
7) All protest findings will be presented to the DOUBLE R MUD TRACK officials. The DOUBLE R MUD TRACK Officials reserves all rights, at it’s sole discretion, to determine whether or not any infractions were found and whether or not they are minor or major infractions. If found illegal, the DOUBLE R MUD TRACK Officials reserve the right to fine and/or suspend the entire race team and all winnings.
(a) STOCK, SUPER STOCK, MODIFIED, AND SUPER MODIFIED CLASSES ONLY - Anyone found illegal by cubic inch displacement will be considered a major infraction.
(b) Refusal of an official or contestant protest will be considered a major infraction.
8) Contestant Protest fees are as follows:
Vehicle, Engine Tear Down $750 – (a) Protesting party will pay $750 cash to Double R Mud Track official in charge of protest. (b) Protested party will pay $150 to Double R Mud Track official in charge of protest prior to any inspection. (c) If protested vehicle is found legal, protested party will receive $600 from the Double R Mud Track and the $150 protested party supplied to Double R Mud Track prior to protest inspection. $150 of the protesting parties money shall be retained by the Double R Mud Track. (d) If the protested vehicle is found illegal, the protesting party will be returned $750 and the DOUBLE R MUD TRACK will retain the $150 supplied by the protested party.
Vehicle owner, mechanic, and driver of protested vehicle may be present at Tear Down along with one (1) representative for the protesting member and Double R Mud Track Officials, along with an appointed tech man. In a Tear Down protest, no one placing behind protested vehicle in that class will be paid until inspection and the Double R Mud Track decision is made. Decision of Double R Mud Track Officials is Final ! ________________________________________________________________________________________________
Cubic Inch Displacement $450 – Checked by Bore and Stroke. Requires pulling intake and one (1) head. Protesting party responsible for supplying $450 to Double R Mud Track official in charge of protest. Protested party responsible for supplying $150 to Double R Mud Track official in charge of protest prior to any inspection.
(a) If protested vehicle is found legal, protested party will receive $300 from the DOUBLE R MUD TRACK and the $150 protested party supplied to DOUBLE R MUD TRACK prior to protest inspection. $150 of the protesting parties money shall be retained by the DOUBLE R MUD TRACK. (b) If the protested vehicle is found illegal, the protesting party will be returned $450 and the DOUBLE R MUD TRACK will retain the $150 supplied by the protested party.
(c) Vehicle owner, mechanic, and driver of protested vehicle may be present at Tear Down along with one (1) representative for the protesting member and two (2) DOUBLE R MUD TRACK OFFICIALS, along with a DOUBLE R MUD TRACK appointed tech man.
(d) In a Tear Down protest, no one placing behind protested vehicle in that class will be paid until inspection and the DOUBLE R MUD TRACK OFFICIALS decision is made. Decision of DOUBLE R MUD TRACK OFFICIALS is Final !

Cubic Inch Displacement $200 – Checked by P&G Gauge. Requires pulling all spark plugs and two (2) pushrods from the cylinder being tested.
Protesting party responsible for supplying $200 to DOUBLE R MUD TRACK official in charge of protest. Protested party responsible for supplying $50 to DOUBLE R MUD TRACK official in charge of protest prior to any inspection.
(a) If protested vehicle is found legal, protested party will receive $150 from the DOUBLE R MUD TRACK and the $50 protested party supplied to DOUBLE R MUD TRACK prior to protest inspection. $50 of the protesting parties money shall be retained by the DOUBLE R MUD TRACK.
(b) If the protested vehicle is found illegal, the protesting party will be returned $200 and the DOUBLE R MUD TRACK will retain the $50 supplied by the protested party.

(a) If protested vehicle is found legal, protested party will receive $150 from the DOUBLE R MUD TRACK and the $50 protested party supplied to DOUBLE R MUD TRACK prior to protest inspection. $50 of the protesting parties money shall be retained by the DOUBLE R MUD TRACK.
(b) If the protested vehicle is found illegal, the protesting party will be returned $200 and the DOUBLE R MUD TRACK will retain the $50 supplied by the protested party.

Super Modified Weight $200 Protesting party responsible for supplying $200 to DOUBLE R MUD TRACK official in charge of protest. Protested party responsible for supplying $50 to DOUBLE R MUD TRACK official in charge of protest prior to any inspection.
(a) If protested vehicle is found legal, protested party will receive $150 from the DOUBLE R MUD TRACK and the $50 protested party supplied to DOUBLE R MUD TRACK prior to protest inspection. $50 of the protesting parties money shall be retained by the DOUBLE R MUD TRACK.
(b) If the protested vehicle is found illegal, the protesting party will be returned $200 and the DOUBLE R MUD TRACK will retain the $50 supplied by the protested party.
All findings will be applied to class rules as interpreted by DOUBLE R MUD TRACK OFFICIALS. Official protests may be lodged at any time and at no charge to the DOUBLE R MUD TRACK.
9) If a vehicle placing in the Top Four is found illegal, their pay for that race will be distributed to the next position and so forth.
ALL PROTEST WILL BE PERFORMED AT DOUBLE R MUD TRACK. IT IS THE RESPONSIBLITY OF EACH DRIVER TO KNOW AND UNDERSTAND ALL PROTEST RULES, TRACK RULES, CLASS RULES AND REGULATIONS !
